Barnett Whitetail Hunter 2: Outlooks

Barnett Whitetail Hunter II

Specifications | Speed: 350 FPS; Kinetic Energy: 103 ft.lbs; Power Stroke: 12.5 Inches; Draw Weight: 150 LBS; Axle To Axle: 16.125 Inches; Length: 34.5 Inches; Weight: 6.4 LBS.

Cock, Speed, Durability

The bow is made in the USA. It is a reliable and very effective crossbow. The bow comes mostly assembled. Most of the staple accessories come pre-installed. The Barnett Whitetail Hunter II is one of the best compound bows.

The cocked axel to axel width is 16.25 inches. Making it compact and excellent to maneuver and handle in tight spots. The crossbow weighs at 6.4lbs. Trust me it’s not that heavy. There are more than 8 lbs crossbow available in the market.

It has an impressive 350 fps speed and 160 pounds of manageable draw weight. One of the best small frame crossbow in the market. If not the best in the 300$ range. The body has a versatile Real tree Xtra pattern for camo. Blends in well with the environment while hunting.

Barnett will never give you a product that is not that durable or made out of cheap materials. The crossbow is 17.75 inches wide and 32.25 inches long. Like we mentioned already the crossbow is lightweight easy to carry. Making your hunting more enjoyable.

Barnett Whitetail Hunter 2 Bolts

The crossbow comes with standard two arrows quick detach quiver.

The quick-release quiver enables you to keep bolts secured while hunting. And you can quickly remove it when you want.

The package also contains 2 20inch Headhunter arrows. The weight of both bolts is 400 grains. The bolts contribute to +100 ft.lbs kinetic energy.

Trigger Tech Assembly

Like we mentioned earlier most of the crossbow comes pre-assembled. All you need to do is attach the rail riser to the rail of the crossbow and connect the stock properly.

They will automatically click into place but just to be extra sure you should tighten them with a hex bolt. At last, you need to just attach the quiver and stirrup. The owner manual makes the setup super easy and it shouldn’t intimidate you. Honestly, there is nothing in the manual to be afraid of. Follow it and you will do just fine.

The crossbow comes with a frictionless release technology. It creates a free-floating roller between the sear and trigger. Resulting in a smoother and lighter trigger made out of stainless steel components.

The crossbow also comes with Nock sensors and anti-dry fire that gives you extra safety & supports a 3 pound zero creep release. It gives you extra confidence to make the shot.

Stock Limbs

The crossbow has design features that utilitarian will love & It has logos on its split limbs and above the trigger guard. Also that’s features pass-through grip and finger protection guards.

The butt pad of the crossbow is adjustable. Making your every shot comfortable and ready to take a shot at any angle.

Do you love a crossbow that performs as good as it looks?

  • Barnett Whitetail Hunter 2 is right up your alley. It’s jacked with features.

Shooting

The crossbow can shot bolts up to 350fps behind 103 ft.lbs of K.E. Even well balanced. The center of gravity is towards the shooter end not at the front of the crossbow.

If you compare it with other mid-range crossbows it outperforms all of them. The trigger pull is so smooth and the bolts fire accurately.

It’s insane to think about when you consider the price of this beauty.

Easy To Use

The Whitetail Hunter 2 comes mostly assembled from the manufacturer. It comes with a rope-cocker for easy cocking. You can also use a crank crocker with an integrated connection point.

The manual guide that comes with Barnett Whitetail Hunter 2 makes the assembly such an easy process that it gets easy 9/10 for ease of use.

Accessories

Let’s start with one of the main attractions the scope that comes with the Crossbow Scope

Whitetail Hunter 2 comes with a 4×32 scope. Barnett uses this scope with their mid to upper-range crossbows. The main benefit of the scope is not that it’s free (which is an excellent thing) but the scope fits in the rail.

Which means, you guessed it correct you can change the scope with any scope you wish. But make sure it supports the same Picatinny rail.

Some people do not like the scope. Because when zoomed in the vision tends to blur. But it is the same scope that you find on many high tier crossbows.

If you don’t have a scope already don’t hurry to buy a new one. You can use the scope that comes with the crossbow just fine. The focus and the lens were good enough for us to forgive the blurry edges when maxed out.

Like we mentioned it supports any scope that sits on Picatinny rail. So, you always have an option to upgrade/change the scope when you want.
