Wicked Ridge M370 Review: Story Of Lightweight Compact Crossbow

Did you know TenPoint owns Wicked Ridge? Most of the modern crossbows under the Wicked Ridge banner are manufactured and quality-checked by TenPoint. Wicked Ridge is the Robbin Hoods of crossbows in my opinion. They take some of the best features from other TenPoint crossbows and offer them at an excellent price. The pricing is so good that other manufacturers have to jump on the bandwagon to make similarly priced crossbows.

Just like my Invader x4 reviews, I will talk about it in detail and tell you why you should buy it, or why you shouldn’t buy it. Without further ado, let’s jump right into it.

Wicked Ridge M370: Outlooks

Wicked Ridge M370

Specifications | Speed: 370 FPS; Kinetic Energy: 118 ft.lbs; Power Stroke: 13.8 Inches; Draw Weight: 180 LBS; Axle To Axle: 9.5 / 14 Inches; Length: 35 Inches; Weight: 5.8 LBS.

Build Quality

Till now I have yet to hear complaints about the build quality of a wicked ridge crossbow. Even if there is (which is incredibly rare), Wicked Ridge is super fast at customer service and most likely to replace your crossbow without any hesitation.

This is a lightweight and compact crossbow. The weight of this crossbow is only 5.8 lbs. When cocked axle-to-axle width of this crossbow is just 9.5″. That’s an incredible feat. You can take it to places where you couldn’t take a crossbow before.

The design aesthetic of this crossbow is quite good too. Design is a subjective matter. You may like or you may not like it. You only have this option to choose from, that’s why if the design is a deal-breaker for you, you already know the answer.

Acudraw Cocking Device

For some extra bucks, you can add an optional accessory. But instead of coming as an accessory, Wicked Ridge will install the ACUdraw cocking device on the crossbow. If you use your crossbow regularly fast loading time is a must for you. I highly recommend you spend the extra money on this feature. It’s more than worth it.

I will give you one more reason to add this feature. An offer that you can’t refuse. If you get the M370 with an ACUdraw cocking device, you will have a draw weight of mere 5 pounds. That’s right, you didn’t read that wrong. A mere 5 pounds of draw weight. Even a child can load the crossbow.

Draw Weight

If you didn’t go for the ACUdraw addition, then you will get a 180lbs draw weight. Most other crossbows in this price range also have a draw weight of 180-190 lbs. On average, it’s decent. Without the ACUdraw, you will find a rope cocking tool inside the crossbow package. You can cut the draw weight by half using that.

But nothing compares to the 5 pounds of draw weight with the ACUdraw cocking device. Just get it with the drawing device, please.

T4 Trigger

T4 trigger comes with an advanced anti-dry fire recognition feature which is made by TenPoint. TenPoint uses this trigger on many of their crossbows.

The trigger creep is around 3.5 lbs. It’s not that much but it’s enough to prevent misfires. As it also features anti-dry fire safety, you can run around with a loaded crossbow.

Power & Speed

Wicked Ridge M370 is capable of generating up to 118 ft-lbs of kinetic energy. That’s enough to slay any deer on the sight. As for speed, those arrows will hit like a tank at 370 FPS speed. The force and the speed are perfectly balanced as all things should be. If you use the drawing device, then the reload time also becomes less.

Together you will get a fast-paced hunting experience like never before. The thrill of precisely hitting every arrow on the target and reloading it fast like a rifle is something else. Words can’t do justice to it.

Pros

  • Excellent build quality.
  • Super lightweight.
  • Forward draw.
  • ACUdraw built-in (optional).
  • 3X multi-line scope.
  • Highly accurate, silent, and deadly.
  • 9.5″ width cocked. Super compact.

Cons

  • Finding one in the stock is super hard.
  • Gets expensive with the ACUdraw option.

Wicked Ridge M370 Review Summary

Wicked Ridge once again made an excellent crossbow. The amount of thought behind the M370 clearly shows in the result. I wish they would just add the ACUdraw drawing device for free, but that doesn’t seem a wise decision from a business perspective. I hope I was able to help with your decision-making. If you have more questions left, don’t be shy to ask them down below.
