TenPoint Crossbow is a big name in the industry. They have been making quality crossbows for decades now. Most of their crossbows are high-end and compete directly with Ravin and Excalibur crossbows.
TenPoint XR 410 competes against the Ravin R10. But is it better than the Ravin R10? How good of a crossbow is it? Let’s find that out in this TenPoint XR 410 review.
TenPoint XR-410: Outlooks
Specifications | Speed: 410 FPS; Kinetic Energy: 143 ft.lbs; Power Stroke: 17 Inches; Draw Weight: 200 LBS; Axle To Axle: 6.5 / 12 Inches; Length: 29.5 Inches; Weight: 7.4 LBS.
Build Quality And Design
TenPoint has never slacked in the build quality department. Design on the other hand has been questionable a couple of times. Fortunately, that’s not the case here. The design of this crossbow is just mind-blowing. The camo looks fantastic. It complements the compact body and the design on the reverse draw limbs looks gorgeous.
That’s right, this is a reverse draw crossbow. Meaning the limbs are in reverse. That doesn’t slow down the crossbow. Reverse-draw crossbows are better than regular crossbows in some cases. TenPoint XR 410 is a lightweight and compact crossbow. The weight of XR 410 is only 7.4 lbs. That’s a bit higher than other crossbows. But you won’t notice the difference that much.
But you will notice how compact this crossbow is. When cocked, the width of this crossbow is only 6.5″! How ridiculous is that! You can squeeze this crossbow in places where you couldn’t even imagine before. I honestly want to find out how they managed to make a crossbow this powerful in such a small form factor.
Power
Talking about power, TenPoint XR 410 is capable of generating 143 ft-lbs of kinetic energy. That’s not something to take lightly. In fact, besides the weight of the crossbow, you can’t take anything lightly about this crossbow. With that power, your arrows will hit like a tank. I mean it won’t have splash damage like a tank, but you get what I am saying.
Speed
Crossbow Manufacturers and spoiling the speed in the name is still a better love story than Twilight. You already know that TenPoint XR 410 is capable of firing a bolt at up to 410 FPS.
Anything beyond 400 FPS is marvelous to me. Crossbows aren’t the fastest thing in the world. You can’t expect them to have 3000 FPS of bolt speed. With 410 FPS and 143 ft-lbs of kinetic energy behind each shot, lord have mercy on whatever is in front of you.
Draw Weight
The draw weight of this crossbow hits the bar of the legal limit. Most states don’t allow a crossbow with more than 200 lbs of draw weight. For those states, TenPoint XR 410 brings good news. The draw weight of the TenPoint XR 410 is exactly 200 lbs. That’s a lot, right?
Like, you thought. TenPoint XR 410 comes with an AcuDraw Pro silent cocking device. With that cranking device, the draw weight turns to 9lbs. That’s right, 9 lbs! Even a child can cock the crossbow with that much of draw weight. And no, you don’t have to pay extra for the cocking device. It’s built-in and comes with the TenPoint XR 410.
Accuracy
TenPoint XR 410 uses RX7 limbs. To complement the limbs, TenPoint used a Vector Quad 4 cable system. Together they provide an incredible unmatched accuracy. You probably saw the picture of 3 bullseyes in a row already. Keep in mind, that the wind is a massive X-factor in this accuracy testing.
Trigger And Safety
Instead of choosing TriggerTech like Ravin R10, TenPoint went for T5 Trigger. It’s a seamless crisp design. This trigger was made for hunters specifically. The string latch design reduces friction by a lot. There is almost a 0% chance of misfiring. It’s one of the safest triggers on the market.
Even if you give the loaded crossbow to a child, it should be safe. On second thought, don’t do that. You never know the child may pull the trigger. T5 trigger provides constant breaks and safety. It’s an excellent choice for this crossbow.
RangeMaster Pro Scope
Instead of the traditional 4×32 crossbow scope, TenPoint includes a RangeMaster Pro scope with TenPoint XR 410. RangeMaster Pro is a long-range and fast-shooting crossbow scope. It can easily keep up with your fast triggers and shooting speed.

TenPoint XR-410 Review Summary
TenPoint XR 410 is one of the best crossbows under $2000. It can go toe to toe against Ravin R10 and defeat that event. Not a lot of crossbows are capable of pulling that off.
