When you are paying that much money for a crossbow, you want to show it off as much as you can. TenPoint knows that. That’s why they used their best designers to come up with the design. I am joking, I don’t know whether TenPoint assigned their best designers or not. I am sure they did.
Otherwise, how do you make a crossbow this gorgeous? If you were to tell me you are going to give me a dummy crossbow and it will look like the Vapor RS470, I would take your entire stock.
Build Quality
As for build quality, I was expecting great things from the crossbow. To no one’s surprise, this crossbow is built like an absolute unit. It’s ready for war. You can do any sorts of hunting, shooting, trick shots, etc you want to do with a crossbow.
From the stock to the foot stirrup, everything is made from the best materials available on the market. You are getting well worth your money here. Let’s be real, anyone who is buying this will want to use it for a good while. It’s a long-term commitment.

With a price tag such as this, you can expect it to be one of the most powerful crossbows in the world. You wouldn’t be wrong. It’s one of the most powerful crossbows on the market. Packing the capability to generate a whopping 191 ft-lbs kinetic energy, the Vapor RS470 is in a league of its own.
No other crossbows besides Nitro XRT have been able to reach this milestone. The term brain with beauty couldn’t be more accurate. You are getting a beautiful crossbow that is also one of the most powerful and durable crossbows on the market. Vapor RS470 isn’t following anyone’s footsteps. It’s creating a new path for newer-generation crossbows to follow.
Speed
With great power comes great speed – Spider-man probably.
Jokes aside, the name already gave away the speed of the crossbow. TenPoint Vapor RS470 is capable of firing 370-grain arrows at an incredible 470 FPS.
Keep in mind it’s not capable of firing any arrows at that massive speed. I already mentioned the needed arrow and weight on the specification chart. Read that part again after finishing the review.
Draw Weight
Why is it even a question? We all know a crossbow of this caliber will come with a cranking aid of some sort. TenPoint used their most used and one of the best cranking aids on the market. I am talking about the ACUdraw pro silent cocking device.
It’s an expensive cocking device that does an excellent job. Reducing the draw weight to less than 10 lbs is not a joke. Even a child any weak person can cock the crossbow.
Noise And Surpression
Noise is one of the worst enemies of a crossbow. It can make a great crossbow look like garbage. TenPoint knows that. That’s why Vapor RS470 comes packed with suppressors. They are well-hidden & won’t hinder your vision at all.
They do the job quite nicely. The crossbow is lightweight but powerful. That’s why you will get some recoil while firing. With the suppressor, the vibration is almost non-existent.
