What Optics Fit RMR Cut? Or Should I Say, Made The Cut?

Jokes apart, the RMR feet design has been widely accepted by different optics manufacturers and accessory makers as well. As the design already had countless third-party accessories and a lot of guns also supported it, it made sense for manufacturers to jump in the trend to make their optics compatible with this base.

This also created a bit of an issue for new buyers. It’s hard for you to know exactly how many optics have the RMR cut and the optics that you want to have or not. While it’s not possible to narrow down a number, here are a bunch of optics that fit the RMR cut.

What Optics Can I Use On The RMR Footprint?

What Optics Fit RMR Cut

Now that you know what kind of footprint RMR is and what it looks like, how do you know what kind of optics or how many optics this footprint supports? Well, like I promised earlier, here is an elaborate list of the optics that I could find supporting this very footprint.

1. Ade Advanced Optics 6MOA RD3-019 Stingray Micro Red Dot Sight

Going by alphabet, the first optic on the list is from Ade Advanced. They are known for making quality budget optics for your handguns and rifles. This red dot sight from them is much less expensive than most other optics I’m about to mention.

If you are looking for an affordable gateway to the RMR world but don’t want to compromise it, then this is easily the best option for you.

Now begins the Holosun craze. In case you didn’t know, Holosun is a Chinese manufacturer that has been providing USA shooters with quality red dot sights for a long time now. They have outgrown a lot of domestic business as well.

I said it’s a craze because a lot of Holosun sights are supported by the RMR footprint. Here are all of them.

2. Holosun 407C X2 Red Dot Sight

In case you didn’t know, both 407C and V2 have been discontinued. Instead of those, the X2 has taken the place of the new model. The X2 is also available in both green and red reticles. Of course, the reticle is illuminated and adjustable as well.

You can also adjust things like windage and elevation. For a compact gun, this optic is unbeatable value. A very unique feature of this sight is the solar failsafe. You are never really out of power.

3. Holosun 507C X2 Red Dot Sight

Yeah, just like the 407, the 507 also had many different models. Just like the 407C, the 507C also has a discontinued model and one available new/upgraded model, the X2.

All of the mentioned optics are made out of aluminum and they don’t resemble each other appearance-wise. Their design is different and the X2 is the only model featuring a solar failsafe, green reticle, and upgraded shock-resistant shell. You can only buy the X2 right now and you should only buy that as well.

4. Holosun 508T-RD X2 Red Dot Sight

The 508T and 508T-RD X2 are not new by any means. Available for nearly 3 years now, the RD X2 is the upgraded variant with better housing and a better-coated lens. The sight also has a more uniform glow that helps you during the night.

They are not cheap. They are some of the best reflex sights Holosun ever created. If you are after the finest creation of the brand, the 508T-RD X2 takes the cake.

5. Riton X3 Tactix PRD Red Dot Sight

Another good sight that supports this magnificent platform. This optic looks a lot like the traditional Trijicon design. If that’s your jam, then you will love this optic. It’s built well to support all sorts of different guns.

6. Swampfox Liberty & Justice – Micro Reflex Red Dot Sight

Swampfox makes really good reflex sights, there is no way of denying that cold fact. Justice and Liberty are like the twin brothers where one twin outgrows the other in terms of height and body mass. The Justice fancies a 27mm objective lens while Liberty has a smaller 22mm objective lens.

Depending on what kind of objective lens diameter you need, you can go for either of them. They are both good optics and well worth the price tag.

7. Swampfox Kingslayer Pistol Cut RMR Foot Print 1×22 Micro Reflex Dot

The king is dead, long live the new king. While the Kingslayer from Swampfox might not have any fancy lore behind it, they certainly managed to make the sight look like royalty. From looks to build quality, the Kingslayer is well suited for the name and any given task you have on your hand.

8. Trijicon RMR® Type 2 Adjustable LED Red Dot Sight

Well, duh! The RMR is made for the RMR footprint. Who knew this tiny little sight was gonna be revolutionary enough to start a new trend? But hey, if you want to get the OG stuff, then, by all means, go for it.

9. Trijicon SRO Sight Adjustable LED 1.0 MOA Red Dot

It’s almost like Trijicon loves making small sights. The SRO is a smaller version of the RMR still packed with features. The rounded lens shape puts up a good front for all sorts of shooting. It also features the unique housing of Trijicon that is made for harsh environments.

10. Vector Optics Frenzy 1x17x24mm Tactical Red Dot Sight

Last but not least, the Frenzy. While the Frenzy is not a cheap sight by any means, it still has the rounded lens setup that we love to see in reflex sights. It also has good housing that is shock and waterproof. A coated lens with an illuminated reticle. For the money, there aren’t many things wrong with this product.

Conclusion

I’m sure I have missed a couple of products, if not more. As I said earlier, the RMR footprint is not new. It’s been part of the community for a long time and it is a great companion to newbies and veterans alike.

Hopefully, you found the best optics fit for RMR cut for your needs. With that said, that’s all for now. Thanks for reading. Hopefully, you will return for more later. Till then, take care and have fun.
