It will hold on to zero quite nicely as well. If your gun has Picatinny style rail, you must take one pair of these rings for your gun. You don’t need any wiggle room or hacks to fit this on a Picatinny rail. No need for expensive tapered bases or shimming either.

The XTR rings are manufactured in China. But Burris provides a complete in-house warranty with them in the States.

Yes, that’s right, it’s a single piece. So, make sure to order two while you are buying them. It can be a bit expensive to buy two, but it’s 100% worth it. Sightmark uses high-quality aluminum. The aluminum is CNC milled, so there is no room for error present in the mount.
The anodized finish on this looks really good as well. It will protect the scope mount from fading over time and prevent water from rusting the device. It’s lighter than steel while still being the same if not more durable than steel to some degree.
Do you really need to buy two?
Yes, I cannot put enough emphasis on it. It’s only sold as a single piece. You must buy two to work with your riflescopes.
Is Sightmark an American brand?
Yes, it’s an all-American brand that operates in Texas.
Does it work on dovetail mount?
No, unfortunately not. It’s only made for picatinny/weaver mounting rail.

Sightmark Photon is not the most demanding of products out there, but it can benefit from a good pair of mounting rings.
Make sure that the mounting rings you are buying are built well. That’s the foundation of any buying ring. If the base is not strong, your scope zero won’t stay. That’s why buying a well-built mount is mandatory.
If it comes with a warranty, then that’s even better. Cause you don’t want your mount to die on you on day 1 or 2.
