The reason why I keep coming back to this scope is the price tag. Just like many other Vortex models, Diamondback also comes in different configurations.
You can choose from the 4-16x magnification with a 44mm objective lens. On the other hand, you can get the 6-24x magnification model with a 50mm objective lens. While the reticle on both versions is the same, it’s an FFP EBR-2C reticle. The difference between the two types of reticles is in the readings. One is MOA and the other one is in MRAD.
Vortex used extra low-dispersion glasses in this scope. They are also known as ED glass. ED glass performs insanely well during low-light conditions and gets extremely bright during that time. Starting from 3-9x40mm, you can opt for 4.5-14x42mm or 6.5-20x50m. If you are interested in maximizing the distance of your 350 Legend, then I would recommend you opt for the highest magnification possible. But if you haven’t used well-made Chinese optics, you wouldn’t understand what I’m trying to convey. Hawke has really good quality control and you can see that in their manufacturing.
This optic is made out of high-quality CNC machined aluminum. It features a set of fully multi-coated lenses. While purchasing, you can choose from low to high magnification.
If you want to shoot your 350 Legends at a longer range, then you will need to get the highest 4-16x50mm option that Hawke offers. But if you don’t care much about hunting and want a good learner scope, then you can opt for a lower-magnified variant.
Vantage features a Mil-Dot IR reticle. It’s not the easiest to use, but once you learn it, you probably won’t enjoy a regular crosshair anymore! It’s that addictive! The hunting performance of this scope for the money is quite remarkable. Compared to much higher-priced optics, you can easily hunt small to big games with this one.

Finding the best scope for 350 Legend is not that simple. You will need to consider a few things before deciding on which one you want to go with.
Let me help you with some pointers to figure out which one would be the right one for your tasks.
Weight
Weight distribution is more important than most users give credit to. A badly balanced scope can ruin your entire experience with the scope. That will result in a bitter experience with the rifle and the scope.
That’s why I always recommend optics that have a good weight balance to them. Sure, they can be heavy at times. But with proper balance, they don’t feel heavy on your rifle.
Size
There is a running trend, the bigger the magnification, the bigger the size. It can get to you quickly. Unless you enjoy using huge scopes, then it’s great news for you.
But for me, I would rather choose a smaller optic so I can place it better on the gun. What I mean is, that I enjoy forward-placed optics more than back ones. If the optic is too big, it wouldn’t be possible to move it a bit forward and still enjoy a good amount of eye relief.
Magnification
Depending on the range you are usually shooting at, the magnification level of your optic will vary highly. If you want a fluid long-range shooting experience, then you will opt for higher magnified optics. But if you enjoy medium to close-range shooting, then a 3-9x magnified optic is more than enough for you.
Budget
We often don’t pay enough attention to this point. Spending a lot of money on something we want can be a good thing. But it’s not always the case where we could spend as much money as we want. Sometimes, we need to relax the spending a bit and figure out our priorities.
