Best Scope Mount For TC Encore – Reviews w/FAQs

Thompson/Center is a manufacturer that makes all kinds of hunting guns. One of their most popular gun series is called TC Encore. It’s a lineup of guns that includes an all-season shooting platform, a muzzleloader, and a pistol.

One thing they all share the same is they don’t include a scope or mounting system with the guns. To remedy that situation, I’m here to recommend the best scope mount for TC Encore. After all, we need to find the best possible one to unleash the beast inside. Without further ado, let’s start.

Vortex Optics is one of the largest in the entire sports industry. They are known for their riflescope. Especially, their lenses are some of the best in the entire sports world. If you want to know more about their scopes, check out my website. You will find tons of those.

Anyway, the mounting system here is made out of high-quality aluminum. It’s a single-piece CNC machined aluminum base. It has mounting rings installed right directly on the base itself. The weight of the entire thing is quite light as well. It baffles me how sturdy products are so lightweight.

The 2-inch offset of this cantilever mount places the scope in a forwarded position. Allowing you to correct eye relief and head placement. Cantilever rings are positioned in the center of the riflescope. Depending on which variant you go for, your scope will sit tightly inside the ring.

Is this 30mm or 1”?

Available in both. Make sure to choose the right one while buying.

Will this mount hold zero?

Yes, it will hold zero on a long-range riflescope as well.

It’s one of the most unique-looking scope mounts out there, that’s for sure. For one, it can be mounted on a 20mm picatinny/weaver style mounting rails. On top of that, you have a pair of small rails on the rings themselves. No pun intended.

The rings are made out of aircraft-grade aluminum. They are some of the most durable pairs of mounting rings you will ever come across. With a quick detach mechanism, you can easily remove them from existing rails and use them on another rifle if you wish to.

The machining on this is quite nice for the price. The anodized finish on this looks really good as well. Honestly, anyone wouldn’t expect to get even half of the quality they are receiving for the price. And it helps that this is a feature-rich mounting system.

Where is this made?

They are made in China.

Will they hold zero?

Yes, they will hold zero quite nicely.

7. West Lake Tactical Flat Top 1″ Riser Scope Mount

The final one that I recommend you to is from another lesser-known brand. West Lake is a relatively lesser-known brand among newbies. It’s one of the few mounting rails that is built as a riser. With a total length of 5.7”, you can fit almost any scope you would come across.

The choice of material here is aluminum. As expected, it’s lightweight and quite durable. While some of you would question the longevity, expected so. Don’t worry, it’s quite well-built to last you for at least a couple of years. If not more.

It’s quite easy to fit and extremely easy to remove as well. It fits on any existing picatinny or weaver rails and you can increase the height of your gun by 1”. What’s the point? Well, some of us prefer for the point of view to be a bit higher than iron sight. It helps.

While West Lake is an American brand, they don’t manufacture them. They are importer and they import these from China.

Does this fit Vent Rib Shotguns?

One thing is for sure, don’t take any poorly made mounting system. It will end up breaking in the middle of a session and leave you stranded.

Summary
