The technology behind the making of the structure is called Smart Spherical Structure (SSS). The body is durable can take up some hits.
This is not a rifle scope so the recoil absorption doesn’t matter that much. But the build quality has to be robust and sturdy for a long life.
It has all of them. And it costs less than 100$! The scope just blows my mind.
The scope is nitrogen purged. This means that inside your scope it will never become moisty. The inside has been nitrogen purged to prevent any kind of moisture building inside.
Not only that the scope is also shockproof and rainproof. There is no water-resistant IP rating so of course, the scope is not fully waterproof.
But it can stand its ground in a rough environment. If you have no plans of putting the scope underwater then you will be just fine.
We mentioned earlier the body quality is durable and the scope can take some hits. Several users have reported that even after dropping the scope on the floor for a couple of times (by mistake of course) there was no bend or shattering sign.
Most hunters have their preference when it comes down to lens coatings. Some prefer fully multi-coating where some just multi-coating.
We are not here to judge. But the thing is the company doesn’t disclose whether the optics are fully multi-coated or just regular coatings.
They call it broadband coating and ensures that it provides the best possible light transmission result.
But we all know fully multi-coated optics are just the best when it comes to light gathering and brightening up.
But based on our testing and may other user experience we can safely assume the optics are indeed fully multi-coated.
The light-gathering capability of the scope surprised me. The image quality also felt really crisp and color accurate.
LIGHT GATHERING CAPABILITIES
Like we mentioned earlier the optics has broadband lens coating. It is comparable to fully multi-coated lenses.
The objective lens of the scope is 32mm and the main tube of the scope is 1″. The 32mm broadband coated lens gathers enough light to show you a bright and clear picture of the target. The image quality is pretty great.
The reticle is illuminated you can set it to green or red. There is 5 adjustable brightness level. You turn on the entire illumination on the black reticle. Which means you get a good enough low-light performance.
The objective lens also gathers enough light to give a decent low-light performance.
HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY LAST?
As the scope features an adjustable illuminated reticle. The scope needs one CR1620 battery to operate. And lucky for you, UTG includes one inside the box.
If you are someone that does a lot of low-light hunting then we suggest you buy some spare batteries.
Because the scope has 5 adjustable illumination and we believe you are going to use the max illumination during low-light hunting so you are gonna run through the battery relatively quickly.
That doesn’t mean the battery life is bad. On a day to day use the battery going to last you a long time.
But you don’t want to run out of battery during the hunting session. That’s why the wise decision is to carry a spare.

IS THE MOUNTING SYSTEM TOO DIFFICULT?
The main tube is 1″. The scope comes with its own mounting ring. You don’t have to worry about purchasing a third party mounting ring.
The included rings are made out of aluminum and are rustproof.
But one thing that you need to keep in mind that is the mounting ring only supports Picatinny or weaver rail.
If your crossbow doesn’t feature any of these rails then you shouldn’t buy the UTG 4×32 1″ crossbow scope.
HOW WIDE IS THE FIELD OF VIEW?
The field of view is a pretty important part of a scope. In this regard, the UTG 4×32 gives 27.2 feet of FOP at 100 yards. That is plenty for a crossbow scope.
UTG 4x32 CROSSBOW SCOPE REVIEW: CONCLUSION
If you are looking for a cheap scope for a crossbow that is good. Then you can go for the UTG 4×32 1″ with eyes closed.
But you need to keep it in mind that the scope only supports Picatinny and Weaver rails. If your crossbow features them then go for it.
