Bushnell Bone Collector Rangefinder: Outlooks

Bushnell Bone Collector

Specifications | Magnification: 6x; Objective Lens: 24 mm; Range: 850 Yards; Deer Range: 350 Yards; Accuracy: +/- 1 YD; Length: 110 mm; Weight: 180G.

Body Quality

Bushnell Bone Collector has one of the most beautiful and artistic camo in any rangefinder. The camo looks so beautiful!

The rangefinder is water-resistant. The body material is not aluminum or metal. Thus the body is only water-resistant and can be used under light rain.

But Bushnell suggests you not to use it under heavy rain. The rangefinder is not waterproof so some water might get inside and damage the rangefinder from inside.

The rangefinder features a rugged exterior with a Real Tree Xtra camo. I am going to mention it again the skin is just beautiful.

Magnification

The Bushnell bone collector rangefinder has a 4x magnification with a 20 mm objective lens. The objective lens is bright and rarely fails to capture color-accurate photos.

While we agree on the matter that it is a rangefinder, not a spotter so, it should perform well in range finding to justify the purchase.

Just hang on with me for a moment we will get to that part soon. The rangefinder has a range from 10 yards to 600 yards. It’s long-range for its price. At such a long distance the low-powered magnification helps in character acquisition better.

Power

The rangefinder is powered by a CR2 lithium battery. But there is no battery included inside the box. You need to buy the battery yourself.

The convenient part of the bone collector is it is powered by a 9-volt battery. This type of battery is available in almost any store. It can be found in rural areas too.

The battery has less wiggle room so that it doesn’t fall off from the rangefinder while using. The dimension of the rangefinder is 1.4 x 3.8 x 2.9 inches. The rangefinder has 4x magnification and a 20mm objective lens.

Low-Light Performance

Low-light performance has been a noteworthy feature for every optics-related product. The LCD screen of the rangefinder shows reading in black. Unfortunately, that is the only color. But that doesn’t mean it can’t read in low-light conditions.

It can quite well. If the scenario you are seeing is very dark the reading might be a little tough to read. But the reading even in the dark turns out to be pretty accurate.

A downside of the rangefinder is there is no automatic illumination in low-light scenarios to make your usage easy. The LCD screen also shows the battery life left & the distance is shown in meters/yards.

Is ARC Available In Bone Collector Rangefinder?

Unfortunately, no. Bushnell bone collector only calculates your line of sight distance to the target and shows that result on the display in meters or yards.
